The World’s Most Powerful Motor Sport

Here on the official website of the North West Tractor Pulling Club, you can find out about this awesome sport, where the top teams compete with over 9,000 horsepower. Events take place at our purpose built track at Great Eccleston near Blackpool in Lancashire. The NWTPC was formed back in 1978, making us the largest and longest-running tractor pulling club in the UK. We were formed as an affiliated club of the then-newly-formed British Tractor Pullers Association (BTPA), following the first tractor pulling events in England & Europe in 1977. The BTPA became a member of the European Tractor Pulling Committee (ETPC) which governs the sport in Europe, making rules and sanctioning European events. The main role of the Club is to promote the sport of tractor pulling in north west England. By staging events, we raise funds which are used to further the sport in our area, and to encourage newcomers to the sport. The club is a non-profit making organisation, run solely by volunteers.
